Deleting your data — IDS CoStop
IDS Internet Dispatch Services Ltd Last updated: August 28, 2026
This page explains how to ask us to delete your personal information from IDS CoStop, the driver app published by IDS Internet Dispatch Services Ltd, and exactly what we delete and what we must keep.
How to request deletion
Send an email to support@idsapp.com with the subject line “Account deletion request”.
Send it from the email address on your account, and include:
- Your driver username.
- The carrier you drive for (the company that gave you the app).
We will confirm your identity with your carrier and act on verified requests within 30 days. There is no charge, and you do not need to be signed in to the app to make the request.
If you no longer have access to your work email, email us anyway from any address and say so — we will verify you through your carrier instead.
What we delete
When we action a verified request we delete, from our systems:
- your driver account — username, name, work email address and phone number;
- your saved sign-in details and the app’s stored session on any device;
- your push-notification identifier, so the app can no longer be messaged;
- your stored location history held for driver-position reporting;
- diagnostic and device logs associated with you.
Deleting your account also permanently signs you out of IDS CoStop on every device.
What we keep, and why
We cannot remove you from completed delivery records. Those records — the shipment, its pickup and delivery times, the proof of delivery, and the identifier of the driver who handled it — are your carrier’s business records and, for some of our customers, a regulated chain of custody. Removing a driver’s identifier from them would destroy the tracking and audit history of deliveries that other people and other businesses rely on.
So the following are retained:
- Completed shipment and delivery records, including the driver identifier attached to each action, delivery status changes and timestamps.
- Proof-of-delivery records — recipient signatures and photographs captured at pickup or delivery — which belong to the shipment, not to your account.
- Audit-trail entries recording who changed what and when.
- Anything we are required to keep by law, or to resolve a dispute, or to enforce our agreements.
Retention period. These records are held by IDS on behalf of your carrier for as long as that carrier’s service agreement and applicable law require, and are deleted when the carrier’s retention period ends. They are not used to contact you, they are not sold, and they are not used for advertising.
Your carrier is the owner of those records. If you want them removed, that request has to go to your carrier, and their own privacy practices govern it.
